The CIH, recognized for its high-performance standards and bicultural approach, fosters an environment where students excel not only in English and mathematics but also in their personal and social development. From my first year in 2016, I actively engaged in the mobile application development workshop, which provided a valuable introduction to the world of programming. Additionally, starting from the second year, I participated in the debate workshop, an experience that honed my critical thinking and communication skills. This involvement led me to compete in various debate competitions across Jalisco, including the prestigious ALEMUN, where debates were conducted entirely in English, further enhancing my language proficiency and confidence. The CIH’s emphasis on both academic excellence and holistic growth created a stimulating and enriching learning experience that shaped my formative years.

At UVM, I enrolled in the Bicultural plan, immersing myself in a bilingual learning environment where half of my classes were conducted in Spanish and the other half in English. This experience significantly enhanced my communication skills and cultural awareness. During my time at UVM, I actively participated in student leadership, serving as both the president of my group and later of my entire generation. These roles allowed me to develop valuable leadership and organizational skills. Furthermore, my passion for programming flourished during this period, thanks to the guidance and mentorship of a dedicated professor who instilled in me the importance of good coding practices and a lifelong pursuit of knowledge. The combination of academic rigor, bilingual education, and leadership opportunities at UVM provided a solid foundation for my future endeavors.

ITESO, a distinguished institution recognized for its dedication to social innovation and academic excellence, provides the ideal environment for my growth as a data scientist and engineer. The Data Science and Engineering program offers hands-on experience in data analysis and the development of impactful solutions. ITESO’s emphasis on ethical responsibility and the societal implications of technology has been instrumental in shaping my perspective. This unique learning environment not only fosters my technical skills but also deepens my understanding of the transformative role data can play in addressing societal challenges. As a testament to my commitment to knowledge-sharing, I initiated and lead a study group where I teach various quantitative subjects, including calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and modeling using Python and R.
